Writers and translators get together for an intensive week of workshops, seminars and reading sessions. This course will include a first-time translation workshop from Chinese>English. The Imperial College London has announced an 11-week e-learning program for professional translators. The new course on software and games localization is run in collaboration with the Humanities Department. The course is geared towards anyone wanting to further a career in the translation industry and is a useful step in becoming a software localizer.

San Francisco and Cologne, 2009

The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), California State University, Chico, Center for Regional and Continuing Education, and The Localization Institute have opened early enrollment for the Localization Certification Program and Localization Project Management Certification.

These programs will be offered on the San Francisco State downtown campus and at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Early enrollment here.
